Einladung WOLF THEISS: Cyber Security Forum

WOLF THEISS Cyber Security Forum

Major security breaches are reported in the media every week and result in billions of Euros in damages for EU businesses each year, affect millions of consumers world-wide, and threaten to cripple many eGovernment efforts. In particular managers of private corporations have to make cyber security a number one priority in order to protect their corporation from security breaches and thereby also reduce the risk of personal liability.

Adequate cyber defenses have to be deployed by providers of Critical Infrastructures (e.g. telecom operators) as well as by other private corporations which have to ensure the confidentiality of personal data or business secrets. To identify and implement solutions that match their specific security needs, corporations increasingly rely on the support of specialized security companies like Cassidian. Corporations and their management have to act now since cyber threats are becoming more and more severe as they increasingly originate from criminal organizations, foreign businesses performing corporate espionage, or state actors pursuing their national and economic interests.

The Wolf Theiss Cyber Security Forum will provide guidance for how to approach cyber security threats as a private corporation, in order to mitigate these threats and minimize legal exposure due to security breaches.

A high-profile panel consisting of
– Hervé Guillou – Head of Cyber Security, Cassidian (EADS Group)
– Dr. Georg Kresbach – Partner and Head of Practice Group IP&IT, Wolf Theiss
– Dr. Lukas Feiler, SSCP – Associate, Wolf Theiss

will discuss legal and corporate aspects of emerging cyber security threats and challenges in detail.
Note that this event will be held in English.
