WOLF THEISS invites: How to implement an effective anti-corruption compliance program

WOLF THEISS together with Transparency International Austrian Chapter and Arnold & Porter LLP proudly present an in-person event:

How to implement an effective anti-corruption compliance program in the area of public procurement law

Enforcement of anti-corruption laws has increased significantly in recent years. This is particularly true in the area of public procurement. For this reason, companies seeking public contracts, and government entities entering into public contracts, should strongly consider implementing effective anti-corruption programs in order to reduce the risk of violating public procurement law as well as anti-corruption statutes by preventing, detecting, and responding to improper conduct. This program is particularly timely in light of the many corruption scandals which have been coming to light over the past several months.

The event will cover the current status of compliance efforts in Europe and the United States (where compliance programs are often mandatory). The program will focus on the key elements of an effective corporate compliance program, with input from speakers with practical experience in developing compliance programs in the United States and Europe. A case study session discussing practical examples of compliance issues will conclude the program.

Having an effective compliance program can help mitigate risks. Attendees will benefit from insights of leading experts on how to design compliance programs in the area of public procurement.

The event and discussion, held in English, will be followed by drinks and snacks in an informal atmosphere.
